Trip Overview

This scenic day will journey through the Nam Ha Protected area to Muang Sing. Choose a TukTuk or Minivan to adventure on Journey the scenic jungle road.

We will visit unique ethnic villages. We will pass through beautiful nature, enjoying the lush mountains. Trained guides will share information about the ecology and culture.

Itinerary

  • 8:00 AM: Make sure you arrive at our office to prepare for your trekking
  • 9:00 AM: Meeting with your guide and departure from the office by Tuk-Tuk

We begin drive along the road to Muang Sing. Along the way you will visit That Xieng Dueng a Tai Leu stupa and several ethnic villages including Tai Leu (Ahka) and Io Mien (Hmong). Our guide will work with you to design a trip tailored to your group. It is possible to paddle to the Chinese or Burmese border if you wish. In Muang Sing we visit the busy morning market, learn about the fascinating history of Muang Sing and visit the former French fort.

The tour begins our office in Luang Namtha and after a short briefing we begin peddling along the road to Muang Sing market for the first.

From the energy of the market, you'll step into the serene, where you’ll discover the history and present life of Lue tribe. From there, we will head to the ancient Wat Sieng tung temple, which features a spectacular on mountain top. It's Mueang sing’s most distinctive and recognized monastery, until 12:00 pm for lunch time.

At lunch time we meet our support vehicle which carries all our luggage, water. we continue on peddling over the mountains an alternative and easy way to explore the beautiful scenery and several tribes,

1 Day TukTuk/Minivan Tour Luangnamtha

Trip Overview

This incredible day will include up to 6 hours of  TukTuk/Minivan Tour, with lots of incredible stops. An alternative and easy way to explore the beautiful scenery of the town of Lung  Namtha. Scenic views of the river bank, waterfall and visit minority ethnic villages (Hmong, Lantan, Khmu, Labed, Phounoi, Taidam and Akha) along the dirt road. Trained guides will share information about the ecology and culture.

Itinerary

  • 8:00 am: Make sure you arrive at our office to prepare for your tuktuk Tour
  • 9:00 am: Meeting with your guide and departure from the office by Tuk-Tuk/Minivan

Leave at office to the morning market to collect the fresh food for lunch before riding up to That Phoum Pouk Stupa(was destroy from Indochina war). We continue ride to Ban Nammat village (Akha tribe), Black Tai , LanTen, Khmu tribe, Lue tribe, Yuan Tribe, Phounoy Tribe…etc minorities, where we will have chance to see silk production and silk weaving with natural dyes, a Lao alcohol distillery, mountain vistas, and expanses of rice paddy as well as visit a Namdee waterfall. Our picnic lunch will be served on the way.

In the dry season, we can learn how to make bamboo paper making at Lanten Village Bannamdee waterfall, In the wet season, you will enjoy feasting your eyes on the green rice paddies and the giant evergreen mountains in the background.

We return back to Luang Namtha visit Sunset at Poumpuk stupa at the top of mountain watch the view of Luangnamtha province and then back to the office about 4 PM.

We continue ride to Ban namlue village (Lanten tribe), Ban Chaluensouk (Khmu tribe), Ban Namha (Khmu Samtao tribe, Ban Khouasong (Khmu tribe), PhouphetPoukham Zoo, Konglor cave and stop for picnic lunch. after lunch we continue to Namvang village visit Hmong and Lahu traditional village. after we drive continue to Viengphoukh a district visit many difference village Yuan Tribe, Khamu Tribe…etc minorities, where we will have chance to see silk production and silk weaving with natural dyes, a Lao alcohol distillery and expanses of rice paddy as well as visit a Viengphoukha local market.

We return back to Luang Namtha visit Sunset at Poumpuk stupa at the top of mountain watch the view of Luangnamtha province and then back to the office about 4 PM.
